Could anyone recommend some good contemporary wedding dress designers / boutiques. most boutiques i've come across tend to stock very traditional styles.

I've found that if you are up for a non traditional wedding dress then the best places are good mid to high end boutiques. Where are you based?
Check out designer Helen Cody: http://www.helencody.com/bridal.htm
If your in Dublin and up for being creative try the Oxfam Bridal Store on George's St... The last wedding I went to the bride found her dress in a regular boutique as her wedding was in the Summer and she didn't want a long trad gown so she picked up a simple cream silk summer dress that was very elegant.

Hi there, my favourite alternative to the traditional brides boutique is the fab boutique in Dublin http://www.dirtyfabulous.com/bridal.htm def worth a visit as they look like they have some interesting vintage on their website, love the fab silver skirt, cream bodice and pink sash one...
